Almeda Lee Crowell was born January 26, 1926 at Craig, Colorado. She was the daughter of Ira Culp and Ivy Lee Williams Culp. Almeda passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 at her home in Mounds, Oklahoma. She was 82 years of age.
Almeda grew up in Colorado, she attended Craig High School. Almeda moved to this area in 1950 from Colorado.
Almeda Culp and Patrick Crowell were united in marriage on March 31, 1963 at Miami, Oklahoma. They had celebrated 45 years of marriage. During that time they resided at Hectorville, their present home in Mounds for the past 29 years.
Almeda was a cook for Liberty Mounds Public Schools. She was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church. In her spare time, Almeda enjoyed being a homemaker, Scout Leader, Soft Ball Coach, 4-H Leader, a volunteer on the Liberty Fire Dept. and taught holy classes at St. Clement Catholic Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Almeda was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Peggy; one brother, Tom and one grandson, David Marchant.
Almeda is survived by her beloved husband; two sons and daughter-in-law; three daughters and son-in-law; two brothers; two sisters; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-Grandchildren.
