Mrs. Campbell (Flossie M. Bough) Carson, 87, of Vandalia died 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 1986 in Decatur Memorial hospital.
Mrs. Carson was born Jan. 7, 1899, in Macon county to Henry and Elizabeth Bough. She was a member of Haley Chapel United Methodist church and past member of Vandalia VFW auxiliary. She married Campbell Carson on Jan. 28, 1920, in Decatur. He died July 12, 1972.
Survivors include 2 sons, Hiram of Oyster Bay, N.Y., and Bobbie of Lees Summit, Mo.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Forrest (Filamena) "Babe" Pryor of Sterling; Mrs. John (Leona) Yarbrough of Kansas City, Kas.; brother, Austin Bough of St. Louis, Mo.; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Five brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, in Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial was in Forbis cemetery near Brownstown.
Memorials to Haley Chapel United Methodist church were suggested.
