Russell Blaine Tallent, 45, of the Mt. Vernon Community near Tellico Plains, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at Sweetwater Hospital.
He was employed by Timber Tech Log Homes, and was preceded in death by his mother, Flossie Tallent; and his grandparents, Bartie and Audrey Tallent and Joe and Ethel Harrill.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Sharon Tallent; three daughters and one son-in-law, Susan and Chad Schwartz of Louisville, Blaina Tallent and Brooke Tallent, both of Tellico Plains; one son, Russell Tallent of Tellico Plains; one stepdaughter, Amanda Millsaps of Sweetwater; five grandchildren, Lillian Schwartz, Caitlynn Millsaps, Gage Millsaps, Gunter Millsaps and Joslynn Latham; his father, Dale Tallent of Madisonville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara & Ron Watson of Madisonville, and Sandee and Mike Jones of Athens; his twin brother, Roger Tallent and wife, Tammy, of Tellico Plains; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Randy and Sherry Tallent of Athens, and Rex Tallent of Madisonville; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Eric Best of Tellico Plains. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Biereley-Hale Funeral Home with the Rev. Ollie Lankford and the Rev. David Chambers officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Haven Hill Memorial Gardens with a White Dove Liberation Ceremony.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
