She was the daughter of Paul and Helen (Pospisil) Schroeter. Sandra married Max Downing on March 20, 1972. She had lived in Hominy since 1982. Sandra had been employed with Oklahoma Department of Corrections as a secretary for the Medical Department. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and Boy Scout Den Mother and had two sons that were Eagle Scouts. She attended the Nazarene Church in Hominy. Survivors include her husband; four children; six grandchildren and two sisters. Services will be Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Hominy, First Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Brown officiating. Casket bearers were Zack Downing, Aaron Downing, Chris Cramston, Joe Hensley, Brett King and Matt King. Burial will be in the A.J. Powell Cemetery.
