Jack E. Williamson, 77, of Amarillo died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Perry Hunsaker, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mr. Williamson was born Nov. 7, 1931, in Miami to Jesse and Lee Agnes Williamson. He had served in the U.S. Air Force for more than 27 years, retiring in 1976.

He married Phyllis Nothern on March 16, 1952 in Salina, Kan. He had worked for State Chemical and later for Jack B. Kelly.

Mr. Williamson was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Williamson; two sons, Jack E. Williamson II and wife Kathy of Houston and Stephen Williamson and wife Brenda of Amarillo; a brother, Don Williamson of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Rose Anne Langham of Avon Park, Fla.; two grandchildren, Jack E. Williamson III and Kelli Martin; and a great-grandson, Kolby Martin.

The family suggests memorials be to Animal Rescue Shelter, 12500 S. Farm-to-Market Road 1541, Amarillo, TX 79118; or St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4317 W. Interstate 40, Amarillo, Texas 79106.
