Baby Killed When Car Accidently Backs Over Her
A 16-month-old child was killed Sunday afternoon when a car driven by a relative accidentally backed over her at her home while she was playing.
Sheriff Claude Passeau identified the baby as Lisa Goss, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Goss, Sr. of Ward. The child reportedly was dead on arrival at George County Hospital.
The funeral was conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fails Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Nicholas Mipich of St. Lucy Catholic Church officiating. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery.
Lisa is survived by her parents; a brother, Jerry Goss, Jr.; a sister, Celeste Goss; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. N.B. Goss, all of Ward, and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Pesce, Beverly, Mass.
