Grieser, Peter R., son of Ben and Anna (Oswald) Grieser, was born Aug. 3, 1891, at Fulda, Minn.; died at the Pender, Nebr., Community Hospital, Nov. 12, 1960; aged 69 y. 3 m. 9 d. Ten days before his death he moved from the farm into his home in Beemer, Nebr. He was active in farming until two months before his death. On March 2, 1921, he was married to Lillie A. Schilling, of Lowell, Ind. Surviving are his wife, 4 children (Beulah-Mrs. Allan Wittrig, West Point, Nebr.; Maurice, Washington, Iowa; Pearl-Mrs. Darrell Puckett, Pender Nebr.; and Leonard, Wayland, Iowa), 13 grandchildren, 6 sisters (Lizzie-Mrs. Julius Miller, and Rose-Mrs. John Waters, both of Hydro, Okla.; Mary-Mrs. Menno Erb, Wakefield, Nebr.; Anna-Mrs. David Erb, Frazee, Minn.; Lena-Mrs. Simon Birky, Detroit Lakes, Minn.; and Kathryn-Mrs. Julius Kerler, Portland, Oreg.), 3 brothers (Ben, Detroit Lakes; Chris, Frazee; and Daniel, Chadron, Nebr.). Three brothers preceded him in death. He was a member of the Beemer Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Nov. 15 in charge of Sam Oswald and Earnest Kauffman.
