Albert (Tom) Thomas Dickerson, 80, Neosho, died on Monday, December 1, 2008 at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following a sudden illness.
Mr. Dickerson was born September 27, 1928 in California. He served in the U.S. Marines during WWII and worked as an installer for Cosco Fire Sprinklers for 50 years in California. He was a 55 year member of the Fire Sprinklers Fitters Union and attended Crosspoint Fellowship Church. Albert moved to the Neosho area in 1993 from California following retirement and enjoyed living on the farm and taking care of his animals.
He married Margaret Hughes in 1992 in California and she survives. Additional survivors include 3 daughters, Judy Leach, Riverside, California; Susie Dastrup and Jennifer Commeau, both of Corona, California; one stepson, Hugh Hughes, Jr., Yorba Linda, California; four stepdaughters, Diane Shott, Nuevo, California; Debra Hughes, Diamond, Missouri; Theresa Loza, Trubucco Canyon, California and Denise Granger, Pall Cedro, California; one sister, Betty Zeller, Riverside, California and 62 grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margie in 1991; his parents; 2 sisters; 3 brothers and two stepsons, Larry Hughes and Timmy Hughes. Services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary in Riverside California. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho on Wednesday from noon to 5 p.m. and Thursday from 9 am to 7 pm and the family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 7 pm at the Funeral Home.
