Mrs. Post Dead
Lifeless Body of Battle Creek Man's Divorced Wife Is Found Dead in Her Room

Mrs. Ella Meriwether Post, divorced wife of C.W. Post of Battle Creek, Mich., was found dead, this morning, at the home of a friend she was visiting in this city. Mrs. Post was a native of Illinois and has been divorced about eight years. She had been living in New York but came to Washington on a visit last Friday.

Last night with her friends, Mrs. Post attended a theatrical performance and upon returning to her host's home, indulged in a light supper, retiring about 1 o'clock. Shortly after 9 this morning when Mrs. Post did not respond to calls on her door, her room was entered and she was found dead. A physician was summoned but he said she had been extinct several hours.

A married daughter, Mrs. E. B. Close of Greenwich, Ct., has been summoned.
