He was born August 24, 1946 in Paintsville, Kentucky the son of late Willie Hitchcock and Sarah Myrtle (LeMaster) Hitchcock of Beaver, Ohio. On February 27, 1963, he was united in marriage to Wanda Faye(Castle) Hitchcock who survives.
Also surviving are 3 sons; 7 grandchildren; a great grandchild; a brother and wife of Logan, Ohio; 3 sisters.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father and 2 brothers: Marvin and Gary Hitchcock.
Ronnie was a retired construction sheet metal worker for Local #98,Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Veteran of the Vietnam Era, volunteer minister at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility, Lucasville, Ohio, a member of D.A.V. and member of Seventh Day Adventist Church,Portsmouth, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Portsmouth, Ohio with Pastor Kenneth Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Stockdale Cemetery with military graveside services by American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly, OH.
Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and one half hour prior to the service at the church.
