Julius Tyler Andrews

Julius Tyler Andrews was born on February 9, 1809. He moved to Rochester, NY from CT, along with the family in 1815. Julius Tyler was the founder of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. After his father, Samuel James Andrews died, Julius ran a saw mill and sold real estate (Barton's 1st 176). On New Year's Eve of 1889, Mr. Andrews was walking towards his brother's house on St. Paul Street when he was struck by a carriage moving quickly down the street. He was able to make it to the Andrews' house to be treated for his injuries. The injuries led to him contracting Erysipelas. He died seven days later on January 8, 1889 (Tengwall No. 1:2).Julius never married or had children.
