Odelia García, 82, of Questa, N.M. passed away on November 25, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She "was born on December 6, 1926 to Onesimo & Crecencia Segura of Cerro, N.M. Our mom was known to many as "Grandma García."

She worked for the Questa Headstart Program for 21 years. She enjoyed singing, dancing and listening to her favorite music by her late son, Steve García.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Felimón García, her son Steven García, daughter Patrociña García Domínguez and son-in-law, Damian Ortega. She is survived by her children, Veronica García of Kansas City, MO; Gloria (Ricardo) Sandoval of Las Vegas, NV; Arturo "Chude" García of Questa, NM; Robert (Christine) García of Santa Fe, NM; Maxine (James) Harris of Denver, CO; Jeannette "Janie" García of Los Lunas, NM; Archie (Julia) García of Questa NM; Melvin (Darlene) García of Questa, NM; Julie (Billy) Segura of García, CO; and Joseph (Lisa) García of Questa, NM; 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and special angels (close friends), Loveida Cisneros, Viola García and Lorraine García.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos, N.M. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with burial to follow at El Pueblito Cemetery in Questa, N.M. A public viewing will be held on Friday December 5, 2008 from 1:00-5:00 PM at Weylen's Funeral Home Chapel. Weylen's Funeral Home, Questa, N.M., (575) 586-0888.
