Benjamin "Ben" Franklin Grisham III
A 43 year resident of the Livermore Valley passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005. He was 74 years old. Mr. Grisham was born May 19, 1930 in San Diego, California. A US Army veteran, Mr. Grisham was a general contractor in the Bay Area for more than 30 years. He enjoyed camping, boating and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Grisham is survived by his wife of 31 years Izetta Grisham, and his children, Mark Grisham and wife Annette of Oro Valley, Az., Brittina Snowden and husband Andre of Elk Grove, Ca., Tony Grisham and wife Melissa of Dublin, Ca., Irene Mart and husband Chris of Manteca, Ca., David Grisham of Livermore, Alice Grisham and fiancé Walter Figueroa of Livermore, Ben Grisham IV and wife April of Livermore, Beau Grisham and fiancé Carissa Ballengee of Livermore, Ca., and Michael Haynes of Livermore.
"Papa" is also survived by his beloved Grandchildren, Stephanie Grisham, Michael Collins, Derek and Brian Snowden, Taylor, Jocelyn and Kayla Grisham, Nicholas "Pasquale" and Katelyn "Sally" Figueroa, Christopher Mart, and Emma "Amy" Grisham.
Brothers - Milton Grisham and wife Ida of Elko, Nevada and Ed Grisham and wife Lucy of Las Vegas, Nevada, Aunt Joy McIntosh and husband Max of El Cajon, Ca, Allen Bolm and fiancé Anita and extended family, Shannon Kot, Brian Morris, Patti Anderson and family as well as many nieces, and nephews.
Mr. Grisham was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Haynes in 1982 and sister, Helen "Nancy" Swim in 2003.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13 at Callaghan's Chapel, 3833 East Ave., Livermore, and Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, at Roselawn Cemetery, 1240 N. Livermore Ave., Livermore, Ca. The Grisham Family asked that Donations be made in his honor to the American Heart and Lung Association.
