Thomas Wofford after a short illness passed away Wednesday, October 12th at his home in Woodruff in the 85th year of his age. One son and two daughters together with a number of grandchildren survive him. Funeral services took place on Tuesday, 14th, at Selma Baptist Chruch, of which he was a member. There was a large attendance to witness the laying away of this, another old ex-confederate soldier.
He served in the 2nd South Carolina Rifles Company D. He was paroled at Appomattox Courthouse.
