Carolyn M. Geething, 79, of Van Wert, died at 7:48 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2008, at her residence.
She was born November 4, 1929, in Grover Hill, the daughter of the late Vinal C. and Delilah (Gaw) Ackerman. On April 4, 1951, she married James C. Geething, who survives in Van Wert.
Other survivors include a son, Rick (Kathy) Geething of Orrville; a brother, Richard Ackerman of Hanover, Mich.; three sisters, Joyce (Ray) Doenges of Wapakoneta; Christine Ackerman of Lapier, Mich., and Sandra (Tom) Brown of Grover Hill; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Two sisters also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 8, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hoaglin Township.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, December 7, at the funeral home.
