Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9 at the East Line Street Cemetery in Bishop for 49-year Bishop resident Marian Bente. Rev. Caddy Jackson of the First Methodist Church will officiate.
Born July 16, 1918 in Cherry Creek, N.Y., Marian died Aug. 4, 2006 at Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop. She was 88.
Maria retired from Bank of America in Bishop in 1952. She was married to Elmer Bente who served as assistant chief of police in Bishop for 1952-1972.
She is survived by her nephews, Norman Abbey and Steve Abbey; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews
