CANTON -- Mary P. Teney, 79, of 217 S. 10th Ave. died at 12:55 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 1997, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Jan. 23, 1918, in St. David to Stephen and Angeline Yachinick Delach, she married Ralph Smith on July 19, 1941, in Palmyra, Mo. She later married James R. Teney on Sept. 26, 1970, in Bryant. He died Nov. 4, 1981, in Farmington.
Three brothers, one sister and one grandchild also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Dale Smith of Lewistown and Gale Smith of Bryant; two daughters, Judy Ellis of St. David and Marjorie Weaver of Peoria; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was a cook at Britz Steak House in Bryant for 12 years. She was a cook and custodian at Bryant Grade School for several years. She was a member of Canton Women of the Moose.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert O'Connor will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to St. David Optimist Club Bingo Fund.
