Funeral services for Malissie Greer Barlow, 84, of West University Street, Livingston, were held yesterday at 2 p.m. at Poston Chapel Presbyterian Church with Bro Howard Dailey officiating. Burial was in Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County.
Mrs. Barlow died Saturday, May 10, 1986 at Livingston Community Hospital after an extended illness.
A native of Overton County, she was born March 10, 1902. She was the daughter of the late George and Martha Peterman Greer and was married to Will Barlow who preceded her in death in 1977.
A former resident of Jackson County, she was a member of the Poston Chapel Presbyterian Church, and was a homemaker.
Her family includes two step-sons, Robert and Alford Barlow, both of Rt 2, Gainesboro; two step-daughters, Bertha Greer of Livingston and Elease Nelson of Rt 3, Cookeville; and a sister, Audie Maynard of Algood.
Anderson Funeral Home of Gainesboro was in charge of arrangements.
