Mrs. Frances E. Strode, 81, of Cantrall died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday at her home. She was born in Farmingdale, the daughter of Charles Burt and Anna M. Paul Strange.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jacob Strode, and one son, Harold Duncan.
Mrs. Strode was a member of Athens Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Shelby J. (Anna) Vasconcelles of Cantrall; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ethyl Bradley of Curran and Anna Melhorn of Decatur.
Services at Mott and Henning Funeral Home, Athens. Burial in Strode Cemetery, Cantrall.
