KINGMAN - Starla S. Howes, 52, died April 10, 2008, at Select Specialty Hospital, Wichita. She was born Aug. 17, 1955, in Kingman, the daughter of Warren and Ella Braddy Beard. A longtime Kingman resident, she was a waitress. Survivors include: two sons, Larry David Howes and Joshua Spells, both of Wichita; father, Warren Beard, Kingman; brothers, Stan and Scott Beard, Kingman; sister, Sundra Lane, Strausburg, Colo.; and a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ella.
Funeral 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Visitation from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Memorials to the Kingman County Humane Society or the Kingman Library.
