D. D. Bishoff. Preston County Journal. Kingwood, WV. Thurs., Feb. 26, 1908.
Abstract--D. D. Bishoff, of St. Joe, died at his home last Monday of heart complaint. The deceased was 61 years of age and was a veteran of the civil war having been wounded at Cloyd Mountain. he was in the same regiment with Capt. J. E. Murdock of this town. Last month he made a trip to Chicago and it seemed to exhaust him. His wife is a daughter of Abraham feather, of Albrightsville, and is a sister of Jas. I Feather of Uniontown, and also of Rev. C. E. Feather of the W.Va. Conference of the M. E. Church. Mr. Bishoff is the son of Samuel and Lydia Bishoff. His mother is still living at the advanced age of 93. There are two daughters of the deceased, both of whom are married. The funeral was preached Wednesday from the M. E. Church in Albrightsville. Interment was at Maplewood Cemetery at Kingwood.
