Gorman – Wayne D. Scott, 66, of 2542 Mimosa in Abilene died Sunday in a San Antonio hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel.

Bill Wilson, Church of Christ minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Born May 25, 1910, in Texas, he retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1958. He married Elvira Silvota Dec. 18, 1948. Mr. Scott was the owner and operator of Scott's Frame and Paints in Abilene. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Walter of Vernon; two daughters, Barbara Scott of Copperas Cove and Rebeccah Scott of Abilene; and a grandchild.
