Alice Agnes Marguerite Wheaton, 93, of Ionia formerly of Harbor Springs, passed away Sept 27, 2002 in Grand Rapids.

She was born on April 12, 1909 in Shepherd, the daughter of Alden and Winona (Myers) Faunce.

Mrs. Wheaton was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ionia and was retired school teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clare in 1995; daughter, Elizabeth Wheaton; brother, L. Dale Faunce.

Surviving are a son. Alan (Selma) Wheaton of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; grandchildren, Elizabeth Agostin and Douglas Wheaton; step-grandsons, Todd Klein and Jeff Klein; great-granddaughters, Eliana Klein, and Sherril Klein; sister, Helen Luce of Coldwater; and sister-in-law, Wilhelmina Faunce of Keokuk, Iowa.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday at the First United Methodist Church of Ionia with Rev. Martin Culver, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Tuttle Cemetery.

The family will recieve friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Cook Funeral Home 220 Rich St., Ionia. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Ionia in memory of Alice Wheaton. Arrangments are entrusted to the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.
