Jacksonville - Dr. Walter Fleming Ray, age 69, passed away on December 9, 2008. Walter was a longtime physician in Ocala, Florida and most recently taught for the University of Florida Medical School at Shands Jacksonville. Walter leaves behind his wife, Karyl "Kitty" Ray: his daughters; Denise Ray Cusack and Brierley Ray Ash: grandchildren; Kevin John Cusack III, Mary Katherine Cusack, and Heather Brierley Ash. He is also survived by his sister Martha "Molly" Ray Wainwright, and his "Nana" Eunice Brierley Kannette. Funeral Mass will be held 9:30am, Saturday, December 13, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Historic Church, officiated by Father Daniel Cody. Graveside services will follow the mass at 2:30 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ocala, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local Humane Society.
