Harold Udell Dixon, age 82, of Little Rock, died Friday, February 29, 2008 at the Hospice Home Care Inpatient Facility. A son of the late Buford and Othel Kendrick Dixon, he was born September 29, 1925 in Russellville. He was a retired florist and United States Postal clerk, a United States Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans in Conway, and the Legion Hut in Little Rock. He was a member of the Chicot Road Baptist Church of Little Rock. He was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Leonard Dixon, and two brothers, David Houston Dixon and Olan James Bowden. Survivors include his wife of almost sixty years, Mildred L. Dixon; a sister, Frances Helen Donahou of Russellville; five grandchildren: Katrinka Mondy of Little Rock; Harold Oneil Dixon of Mabelvale; Lucinda Cathaleen Wilder of Little Rock; Johnny Leonard Dixon Jr. of Mayflower; and Shawn Michael Dixon of Kenosha, Wisconsin; and two great-grandchildren: Geni Cathaleen Wilder and Larry Wayne Wilder, both of Cabot.

The funeral service will be at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by Bro. Sam Whitlow. Burial in Oakland Cemetery will be by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
