Henry Schriner, son of Louis and Lena Schriner, was born January 15, 1863 in Fair Haven, Carroll County, Illinois and departed this life February 11, 1936, at the home of his son, Arthur, at the age of 73 years and 27 days. He moved with his parents near Riverton, Nebraska in 1881. He was united in marriage to Frances Mary Zade in February 1887. To this union were born ten children; Will, Jesse and Fred Schriner, Lena Jackson, Cora Jackson, Della Jackson, Bertha Jackson, Harvey, Arthur, and Frank Schriner all living near Riverton.
Mr. Schriner was baptized in the Lutheran Church in childhood. Mrs. Schriner passed to the great beyond December 11, 1909. Later her married Mrs. Ida Scott in 1911, who preceded him in death in 1916. He was married February 20, 1917 to Mrs. Ida Taylor. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, 10 children, four step-children, Bessie Crosby of Riverton, Asa Taylor of Colby, Kansas; Ray Taylor of Taft, California and Jake Taylor of Riverton; 57 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Charles and John of Riverton; 2 sisters Rosa Woods of Lima, Ohio and Lily Borland of Beatrice, Nebraska and a host of other relatives and friends.
