Michael H. Ratchford, 71, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away December 11, 2008. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2008, at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, Mo. Graveside services will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Mike was born January 9, 1937, in Kansas City, Mo., to William J. and Fern M. Ratchford. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Mike worked as a technician for Inland Newspaper Machinery and was a member of the Elks Club.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ratchford, and his parents. Survivors include daughter Rae Jenine Bobak, husband Mark; granddaughters Katie and Jane Bobak; great granddaughter Chloe Brewer; brother William D. Ratchford.
