Agnes Cecilia Pelsue nee Sweeney...Daughter of Edward Daniel Sweeney and Margaret Sweeney nee Kiley.(All buried in St Patrick's.)
Agnes married Wesley Edwin Pelsue on 14 Feb 1950 in Pierce City, MO. Edwin died Apr 1959. Since Agnes married late in life she did not have any children.
Agnes was well know for her expertise in the Mercantile business and ran the Sweeney Mercantile store with her Mother until her Mother died. She then married Ed Pelsue and closed the Sweeney store and kept the Pelsue store open.
I was lucky in being able to talk to Agnes several times and writing to her before she passed on...Seemed like such a knowledgeable and compassionate woman...Gave me information about the Sweeney's that I never knew about including her memory of when my Aunt Mamie came up from Texarkana, Ark. and visited her back in the early 1900's.
I am sure Agnes is being missed very much by her loved ones.
Agnes was the daughter of my Grandfathers brother.
