Richard D. Elliot, 72, died early Sunday, Nov. 6, 1994, at West Park Long Term Care Center.
He was born Sept. 29, 1922, in Jackson, Mich., to Glen and Grace Rockwell Elliot.
Richard served in the Army during World War II and moved to Cody after his discharge in 1945, where he worked as a custodian for the Cody School District for 21 years. He also drove a school bus and was a member of the Lutheran Church. He was family-oriented and loved his children and grandchildren. He loved hooking rugs, gardening and yard work.
Survivors include his wife Jane of Cody, children Roxanne Brown and Adrienne and Larry Baker of Cody and Fred and Virginia Bell of Concord, Calif., sisters Betty Simpers and Evelyn Bodine of Cody, grandchildren Dwayne and Rodger Bell and Jennifer Mota and Angela Lockwood and great-grandchildren Sara Lockwood, Brian Lockwood and Casey Mota.
He was preceded in death by daughter Jaylene Bell in 1957, grandson Lucus DeWayne Baker, his parents and brother Robert.
Funeral Services for Mr. Elliot were Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Larry Vinson officiating. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery.
Donations in his memory would be appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund in Cody or to Home Health Care, c/o West Park Hospital.
