David Ray Barber, 52, of Van Buren died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, in a local hospital. He was a sanitation worker for H and N Foods in Van Buren. He was a Pentecostal and was the widower of Debra Barber.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Akins Cemetery near Sallisaw under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

He is survived by two sons, Clay Gene Barber and Bruce Chance Barber, both of Alma; five sisters, Wanda Jones and Margie Foster, both of Fort Smith, Carolyn Ann Foster of Van Buren, Johnnie Ruth Yandell of Little Rock and Joyce Primm of Alma; four brothers, Donnie of Uniontown, Donald of Alma and Benny and Gary, both of Van Buren; and one grandchild, Shyann Barber of Alma.

Pallbearers will be Gary, Jim and R.D. Barber and Robert, Vendle and Bobby Joe Johnson.
