KEOTA — Velma Opal Autry Lawson, 84, of Keota died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Mallory Funeral Home Chapel of Stigler with burial at Fairview Cemetery of Panama under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.

She is survived by three daughters, Demeris Woods of Tulsa, Regina McSperitt of Alma and Linda McBride of Edmond; four sons, Melvin Buffington, Lonzo Lawson Jr. and C.J. Lawson, all of Keota, and Darrell "Sid" Lawson of Holdenville; one brother, Thell Autry of Madera, Calif.; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are her grandsons.
