Alfred Allen, age 48, a farmer, merchant and Chairman of the Northumberland County School Board died Friday at his home in Lewisetta. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. L. Burke were held at the home Sunday, and burial at Carmel Methodist Church Cemetery in Westmoreland County. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Garner Allen; a son, William R. Allen, a brother James Allen, and a sister, Mrs. E. C. Griffith both of Westmoreland County.
