Born in York County on September 5, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Charles N. and Ella Mae (Neiman) Fake.
Beatrice was the wife of the late James E. Barnhart for over 37 years.
Beatrice spent her early life growing up on a farm. She had a large garden and canned a lot of food while her children were growing up. After her husband died, she did her own yard work until she was 80 years old. Mrs. Barnhart was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of Freysville.
Beatrice is survived by three daughters, Yvonne M. Chalk and husband Bill, Rachel M. Saxe, Rebecca D. Poff; a son, Woodrow E. Barnhart; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Minnie A. Barnhart and husband John and Anna A. Bentz.
Burial will be in Freysville Cemetery.
