Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of January 29, 2008, Geneva Janie Owens Walker, age 88; widow of Bernard Joseph Walker, Sr., residence of Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Friday afternoon, February 1, 2008 at one o'clock. Entombment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel this Thursday afternoon from five until seven o'clock. Mrs. Walker was born October 23, 1919 in Charleston, South Carolina, the daughter of Nealie Fletcher Owens and Mattie Young Owens. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was a retired Real Estate Broker. Surviving are a son, James L. Walker of Ridgeville, SC; a daughter, Bernadine Joyce Walker Pelton of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Elise Hutson of Charleston; and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Walker is preceded in death by a son, Bernard Joseph Walker, Jr. and a grandson, Joel Walker.
