Dale Monroe Young Jr., 5, of Pottsville, died May 6, 2008, at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born August 13, 2002, at Russellville to Dale Monroe Young-Heflin Sr. and Stacy Ann Hackworth Young. He was a kindergarten student at Sequoyah Elementary School. He played T-ball on the Russellville Baseball League's "Blue Claw" team and enjoyed roller skating.
Survivors include his parents, Dale Young-Heflin and Stacy Young both of Pottsville; his siblings, Seth and Anna Belle Countryman of Pottsville; paternal grandparents, LeAnn and Richard Young of Russellville and Paul Ray and Pamela Heflin of Atkins; maternal grandparents, Larry Hackworth of Ojai, California and Lynn and Bill Wewer of Pottsville; paternal great grandparents, Lois St. John of Pollock, Texas and Angie and Richard Young of Dover; maternal great grandfather, Jim Sapp of Ventura, California; and aunts, Annie Pruitt of Pottsville and Becky Moore of Russellville.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the Pottsville Assembly of God with the Rev. Larry Horn officiating. Burial was in Pisgah Cemetery by Shinn Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were Richard Young, Paul Ray Heflin, John Pruitt, and Bill Wewer.
