Ada J. Stowers, 87, of Big Rapids, Michigan, passed away February 21, 2008 at Mecosta County Medical Center in Big Rapids.

She was born November 18, 1920, in Lincoln County, WV, the daughter of Willard and Ella (Pauley) Harless.

On July 13, 1939, she married Niles Dwayne Stowers, who preceded her in death in 1977.

Surviving were a son, Barry (Carol) Stowers of Big Rapids; three grand children; David (Lisa), Paul (Lisa), Rebecca (Micah) Painters; 10 great grandchildren; Kiara, Evan, Bree, Elisha, Sophia, Jonathon, Leslie, Micah Jr., Marah, Maleah; 1 niece; Pauline (Carl) Hodge of Griffithsville, WV and other nieces and nephews.

Ada was also preceded in death by a son Larry Stowers, 2 brothers; Woody (Gladys) Harless, and Roma (Rudy) Harless and 3 sisters; Dena (Walter) Benton, Zena (Raymond) McClure, and Annie (Homer) Macmellon.

Funeral: Liberty Baptist Church in Reed City, MI, with Pastor David Stanski officiating.
