The deceased came to Nodaway county in 1874 with her parents who settled on a farm three miles west of the present site of Ravenwood, now know as the Hilton farm. On October 15, 1890 she was married to Charles Bailey who departed this life twelve years ago on June 2nd.
She united with the Harmony Methodist Protestant church and was a devout Christian all through life.
In her passing she leaves one brother, James Ed. Hilton of Parnell, ten nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Thus closes a life well spent.
Funeral services were conducted from the Ravenwood Methodist church Thursday afternoon, June 27 at 2:30, by the pastor, Rev. W. W. Elliott. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Warehime, Miss Kathleen Shunk and Raymond Crater, accompanied by Mrs. F. W. Null.
Flower bearers were Mrs. I. A. Goodson, Mrs. Maude Ross, Mrs. Len Parker, Mrs. Walter Davis, Mrs. D.J. Hunterson and Mrs. L.A. Joy.
Pall bearers were Carl Perkins, W.J. Wygal, D.M. Bishop, Sie Ralston, Clyde Adcock and M.L. Bentley.
Interment was at Oak Lawn cemetery.
