Jacob was a Private in Company D, 118th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and also served in Company K, 183rd Ohio Infantry.
Jacob was the father of Thomas H. Myers, Samuel W. Myers, Florence A. Myers (Lutrell Johnson), Newton A. Myers, Amelia Lucinda Myers(Mathias Keck), Martha "Mat" Myers (John McLaughlin) and David Lincoln Myers.
Mr. Myers was proceeded in death by his wife Amelia and two children, James G. Myers and Rhuhamye Myers and also by his parents.
He married Emily Holtzberry on September 22, 1895 in Paulding, Ohio.
Mr Myers occupation was store owner and also was a foreman at the Ohio Buggy Works.
