Stanley "Bud" Snouffer was the oldest of four children born to Mary Cecelia (Foley) and Joshua John Snouffer. On November 29, 1917 he married Mayme Helen Fransen in Cedar Rapids. They had one daughter, Mary Ann. Stanley and Mayme divorced and he became estranged from his family. Stanley moved to Chicago where he met and married his second wife, Edna Clara Wilkas. He died in the Hines VA Hospital and was laid to rest in Cedar Park Cemetery next to Edna.
