MRS ROSA TAFT: daughter of Nathan & Ann Coleman, was born on 6 Dec 1870 in the Town of Haney, CrawfordCnty WI. On 26 Aug 1898 she was united in marriage to Oliver Taft. To this union 3 children were born--Ben, Anna & Bessie. She spent her entire life in the Haney Community, living on the same farm with her husband & children, and later with her dau & son-in-law, Mr&Mrs Herbert Wallin, until the time of her death.
MrTaft preceded his wife in death in January 1919, as did also her daughter Ann in 1925 & her son Ben in 1930. So did also a sister Mrs. Mary Kelley. Mrs. Taft followed these into that other world, departing this life December 30, 1945, seventy five years of age. Surviving to mourn her loss and to treasure her memory are her daughter, Bessie, and her son-in-law Herbert Wallin; her three geand children, Oliver, Irene, and Noma and her brother , George Coleman of Gays Mills, Wis. Besides these many other relatives, with neighbors and friends who have learned to love and appreciate her through the years,share in the grief, but rejoice she is not lost to them but only gathered to the eternal home of the soul. ...
Funeral services were conducted in the home and in the Haney Ridge Methodist Church by Re. J. Birk Johnson of Gays Mills, Wis. Interment was in the Haney Ridge Cemetery.
