The son of BARNABUS and MARY (BOTSFORD) BALDWIN, he married MARY FRENCH on April 18, 1734 in Derby, Conn.

He lived his life at Hogg Meadow, on the land that was an Indian gift to his grandfather, THOMAS BALDWIN, and was passed from his father's siblings to his father in later years.

Sylvanus Baldwin of Milford was a "Messenger" when Daniel Bordman was ordained as pastor of ye Church of Christ in New Milford on Nov. 21, 1716.

Their children:

1. Mary b. Oct. 16, 1735; is said to have m. Dr. David Beebe of Trumbull.
2. Dorcas b. Aug. 18, 1738; m. Silas Alling
