Robert Barto Hilley, affectionately known as "Dearlee" to his close friends and family, passed away December 15, 2008, after a brave battle with cancer. He never let it show or affect his good nature. He was the kind of man who didn't have an enemy and never met a stranger. He was the real deal, the loving husband, caring father and the true friend. He will be greatly missed by everyone his life touched. Mr. Hilley is survived by his wife, Carolyn, daughter, Chanda Hilley, son, Michael Hilley, grandchild, Merrick Hilley and brothers, Wayne and Gerald Hilley, brother-in-law to Randy and Connie Ramsey, son Bryan Ramsey and mother-in-law, Violet Clark. Donations can be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society, "Robert Barto Hilley." A private memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
