ORAN - Geraldine Teresa Schaefer, 73, died at 10:25 p.m. Nov. 15, 2001, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 4, 1928, in Commerce, daughter of the late James B. and Minerva J. Stallings Reed, she retired as a machine operator for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in St. Louis and was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran.

On Dec. 7, 1985, she married Elmer Joseph Schaefer who preceded her in death on May 1, 1997.

She is survived by two sisters, Louise Hunt of Pocatello, Idaho, and Lorena Green of Cahokia, Ill.

One son, five brothers and five sisters also preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. Monday until service time at 10 a.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. The Rev. John Harth will officiate.

Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jim Edmondson, Ralph Heisserer, Kenny Schlitt, Sam Felter, Lee Schlitt and Douglas Felter.
