Obituary Published in the Racine Journal Times on 8/29/2005:
RACINE - Amanda Lynn Guth, 29, passed away Friday, August 26, 2005, as the result of a car accident. Amanda was born in Racine on, December 27, 1975, daughter of David and Barbara (nee: Krause) Guth. On September 30, 2000, Amanda was united in marriage to Chris R. Trottier at St. John's Chapel at the DeKoven Center in Racine. She graduated from Shoreland Lutheran High School "Class of 1994" and went on to graduate from UW-Milwaukee "Class of 1999" with a degree in Criminal Justice. Amanda was employed as a Racine County Sheriff Deputy for the past six years and was a member of the Racine County Dive Team. She enjoyed reading, traveling and had a passion for learning. Her greatest pleasure came from recently becoming a mother to her daughter Lauren. She will be dearly missed. Amanda is survived by her loving husband, Chris; and their daughter, Lauren; her parents, David and Barbara Guth; two brothers, Matthew (Tricia) Guth, Steven Guth (fiancee, Becky Southworth); niece, Ava Grace; grandparents, Robert and Donna Krause, Bernice Schiestle; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Susan Trottier; sister-in-law, Nicole (Ryan) Ranker; grandparents-in-law, Margaret Trottier, Beatrice Noll; many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and her faithful companion, Sprecher. Amanda was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lauren Schiestle and her grandmother, Vivian Guth. Funeral services will be held at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 728 Villa Street, Wednesday August 31, 2005, 11 a.m., with Rev. Dale Rexzin officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Tuesday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service.
