She was born in Lilly, daughter of the late James and Catherine (Robine) Sweeney. She married James F. Glunt Feb. 5, 1944, at St. Brigid's Church, Lilly. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F.; son, Robert A.; sisters: Mary Clinemyer, Clara Barnhart, Margaret Luther, Phoebe Solarczyk, Florence Davinson and Audrey Luther; and brothers: William and John.
Surviving are children: James F. Jr. (Jill Pike) of Williamsburg, Eileen of Altoona, Jerry, Judithanne Noland (Tom), and Catherine Ball (Joe), all of Williamsburg; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a devoted sister, Elizabeth Halicky of Gallitzin; brothers: Lawrence of Sarasota, Fla., and Robert of Lilly; and sister-in-law, Ethel Smilnak of Cresson.
She was a 1942 graduate of Lilly High School. She was an actively involved member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson, for more than 60 years, including parish council and the Legion of Mary. She was very family oriented and devoted to her family.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where the Legion of Mary will recite the rosary at 3 p.m. Thursday, followed by a vigil for the deceased. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Aloysius Church, Cresson, by the Very Rev. John D. Byrnes. Committal at church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Aloysius Church.
