Benjamin Franklin Bailey, 50, brother of former Councilman Ira S. Bailey of Morgantown, died Monday at 4:30 p.m. at his home in Masontown. He was a son of the late Arthur and Mary Streets Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a former member of the Knights of Pythias and Odd Fellows lodges, and a member of the Masontown Methodist Church. He married the former Miss Sarah Beavers in 1889.
Surviving besides his widow and brother are three sons, Edward Bailey of Fellowsville, Mervin Bailey of Newburg and Robert Bailey at home; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Maier of Morgantown, Mrs. Jessie Pell of Manown, Mrs. Edith Williams of Tunnelton and Mrs. Nell Jacobs at home; 23 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
