Samuel and Lola were the parents of eleven children. Ten of the childrens graves are shown below. The eleventh William Hamilton died as a child (1900-1902) in Brown County.

Services for S.F. Hamilton were held in the Methodist Church. He moved to Baird in 1928, being proprietor of the Sunnyside Service Station and Tourist Camp. He was a good citizen. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a Christian gentleman, having been converted when a boy of 17 years and united with the Methodist Church to which he was faithful to the end. He was born in Towash Springs, Hill County, Texas. He married Miss Lola Belle Jones on 2 June 1898. Eleven children were born to this union, William died when two years of age, the other 10 children were present at the funeral. Mr. Hamilton was a member of the Woodmen of the World. Survived by his wife; children - Ulyses C. Hamilton, Joe Hamilton, Leo Hamilton, Miss Frandia Hamilton, Hiram J. Hamilton, Mrs. J.M. Shook, J.S. Hamilton, Mrs. Homer Odom, Mrs. D.C. Large; one brother - W.F. Hamilton.
