Rena Brooks Hickman, age 84 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Skaggs Community Health Center in Branson, Missouri.
The daughter of Daw and Ann Ruth (Toon) Gibson, she was born June 11, 1924 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed being a farmer's wife. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and loved all her family and enjoyed her friends. She also enjoyed her flowers and her cat "Trouble".

She was a member of Silver Valley Church.

Her parents preceded her in death, along with her husband, Norman Brooks and Doyle Hickman; a son, Dave Allen Brooks; two brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors are her son, Ray Brooks and his wife, Connie of Harrison; daughter, Ann Woolley and her husband, Ernie of Harrison; step-sons, Danny Hickman and his wife, Mary and D. R. "Barney" Hickman and his wife, Jan all of Harrison; grandchildren, Jeannie Hessenflow and her husband, Lonnie, Jason Brooks, and Susan McGuire and her husband, Michael; great grandchildren, Michael Downum, Jamie Hessenflow, Zach Hessenflow, Tyler Hunter, and Lauren McGuire. She is also survived by her brother, Jim Gibson and his wife, Norma Ann of Carthage, Texas; foster daughter, Judy Simmons of Harrison; foster granddaughter, Lou Hunter of Fayetteville, and other foster children.

Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Friday, December 26, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Service is 10 A.M. Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Silver Valley Church with Dennis Sisco and Larry Mills officiating. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery. Pallbearers are family and friends.
