Jennie married James Franklin Smith on 29 Oct 1921 in Carroll, Iowa. They were the parents of Ada Lee Smith born Jan 3, 1934.



Contributed by Anonymous - LAST RITES HELD THURSDAY FOR YOUNG MOTHER - Mrs. Jennie Frisbie Smith passed away at her home in Storm Lake, Iowa at 2 o'clock a.m. on March 26, 1934, being 38 years, 7 months and 5 days of age. She had been in frail health for the past four months but was gaining slowly when she suffered a relapse and was very ill for 11 days preceding her passing. The immediate cause of her death was angina pectoris.

Funeral services were held in Storm Lake at 12:30 o'clock p.m. last Thursday at the M.E. church, and at 2:30 o'clock from the M.E. church in Lake View. Rev. Hutchinson, pastor of the Storm Lake church, assisted by Rev. W.N. Baker, of Lake View, officiated.

The songs, "In The Garden", "My Father Knows" and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" were sung by a quartette comprising Mrs. Ruby Belt, Mrs. A.J. Hazelhoff, W.F. Brower and A.B. Canady, with Mrs. G.A. McKinley, wife of the Lake View Congregational minister, as the pianist.

The pallbearers were Fay McClintock, Al Walrod, Floyd Belt, John Batie and Roy and Jay Ferguson. Burial was in the Ferguson cemetery near Lake View.

Anson and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Anson of Tryon, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Erickson and sons, Lawrence, LaVerne and Billy, of Odebolt; Alma Laumbach, of Odebolt, Mr. and Mrs. Verne Jones and daughters, Laverna and Macel, Mrs. Bertha Krenzien and daughter Jennie and son, Floyd and other relatives and friends from Storm Lake; Mrs. Irwin Cammak and son, Derwin, and daughter, Amanda, of Mankato, Minn.; A.H. Frisbie, of Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. C.P. Hamblin, Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham, Mr. and Mrs. Geo, Eaton, Chris Sonnichsen, Bub Sherwood, all of Sac City; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Breckenfelder, Mrs. Walter Willert, Mrs. Chester Hamilton, of Auburn, Iowa and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Belt of Sac City.

Jennie Frisbie was born August 21, 1895, near Lake View, Iowa, being a daughter of Frederick S. and Sarah A. Frisbie.

She was united in marriage to James Franklin Smith on Oct. 29, 1921. To this union was born one daughter, Ada Lee, now aged two months and 23 days. Mrs. Smith joined the Congregational church in Lake View, but transferred her membership to the Methodist church in Storm Lake.

She is survived by her loving husband and infant daughter, her mother, Mrs. Sarah A. Frisbie, four sisters and one brother, namely: Mrs. Verne E. Anson, of Tryon, Okla., Mrs. Jessie M. Kettering of Lake View, Iowa; Mrs. Mildred Dart, of Sac City, Iowa, Mrs. Alice Belt of Lake View, Iowa and Lee Frisbie, also of Lake View. Twelve nieces and nine nephews also mourn her passing.

Her father died Jan. 11, 1934. Two brothers, James S. and Milo M., died in infancy.

Mrs. Smith was of a very sweet and loving disposition and will be sadly missed by her relatives and all those who knew her. The Lake View Resort - 4/5/1934
