Andy B Morgan, 83, died Saturday, Oct. 13 at the V A Hospital in Memphis, Tn.

Mr. Morgan was a veteran of World War I, a retired farmer and a member of the New Hope Church of God.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 14 at Houston Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Grady Williams officiated.

Mr. Morgan was born in Michie, Tn., the son of John Perry and Lucy Ellen Strawn Morgan.

He is survived by eight daughters, Mrs. Ruby Tingle, Houston; Mrs. Cora Dennis, Memphis; Mrs. Flora Kornegay, Galveston, Tx., Mrs. Martha Fulgham, Eupora; Mrs. Rena Johnson, Horn Lake; Mrs. Alice Proctor, Greenwood; Mrs. Jeanette Yarborough, Dallas, Tx.; and Mrs. Eneva Clark, Grandberry, Tx.; four sons, John William Morgan, Los Angeles, Calif.; Vernon Morgan and Linnon Morgan, both of Dallas, Tx. And Andy B Morgan, Jr. of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Riddle, Corinth and Mrs. Ellie Clark, Houlka; and two brothers, Callie Morgan of Hayden, Al. and John Morgan of West Memphis, Ark.

Forty grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren also survive.

Pallbearers were Earl Johnson, Mancie Fulgham, Andy Pate, Billy Golden, Emmitt Dennis and Roy Lutts.
